No Surprise Act
The No Surprise Act is a federal law that was created in 2022 in order to protect you, the client, from unexpected medical bills. Healing HeART Therapy acknowledges and complies with the No Surprise Act.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprise Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate. The Good Faith Estimate is the expected cost for counseling and therapy services when insurance is not used or when you self-pay for services. You can request a Good Faith Estimate at the start of services or during treatment and will receive your estimate within 3 business days.
If you are billed $400 or more than the Good Faith Estimate for services, you have the right to dispute the bill.
